What this covers
This policy describes what data Fulltime Job Applier collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites (jobapplier.app and app.jobapplier.app), our Chrome extension, our desktop helper, and our Assisted Service (collectively, the “Service”).
In plain English: we help you apply to jobs faster, two ways — software you run yourself, or a done-for-you service where our AI and trained human assistants apply for you. What we collect, and where it lives, depends on which you use. We hold the minimum we need, encrypt sensitive things, and never sell anything to third parties.
Data we collect
Account data. Email address (your login), authentication tokens, and your subscription plan.
Profile data. Information you choose to provide so the Service can fill applications — name, contact details, work history, education, skills, work-authorization status, screening answers, and resume file.
Credentials — this depends on your plan:
- Self-Serve Software (AI plan): the credentials you use to log in to third-party career sites stay local on your own device (inside the extension or desktop helper). They are never transmitted to or stored by us.
- Assisted Service (AI + Human plan): because human assistants apply on your behalf, we store the credentials you authorize encrypted at rest on US servers and decrypt them only for the purpose of applying for you.
Application history. Records of jobs we applied to on your behalf, the answers provided, and timestamps. You can export or delete this any time.
Operational logs. Per-step diagnostics the Service uses to improve fill quality, tied to your account so we can help you debug issues.
What we don’t collect. No payment-card details (those go directly to our payment processor), no data from sites other than the career portals you direct the Service to and our own dashboard, and no microphone, camera, location, contacts, or browsing history outside the apply flow.
Sensitive data — work authorization
You may provide work-authorization / immigration status so the Service can answer work-authorization questions on applications accurately. We treat this as sensitive personal information, use it solely for that purpose, never sell it, and never use it for any unrelated purpose.
Human access (Assisted Service only)
If you use the Assisted Service, trained human assistants — our personnel and/or vetted contractors, who may be located outside the United States — access your profile, application data, and authorized credentials solely to apply on your behalf, under written confidentiality and security obligations. They may not use your data for any other purpose.
How we use your data
We use your data only to operate the Service: filling forms on your behalf, tailoring cover letters and screening answers to specific jobs, surfacing application status on your dashboard, supporting your account, and improving fill accuracy across our user base in aggregate.
Free-text answers (cover letters, “why this company” responses) are generated using AI; only the context needed for each generation is sent, and the generation provider does not retain or train on it under our contracts. We do not sell your data.
Sub-processors
We rely on a small number of service providers: our AI generation provider; our payment processor; cloud hosting (United States); and, for the Assisted Service, the human-assistant personnel and contractors described above. Each is bound to use your data only to provide their part of the Service.
How we store your data
Data is stored in the United States and encrypted at rest using industry-standard key management. Self-Serve Software third-party credentials never leave your device. Assisted-Service credentials are decrypted only for the purpose of applying for you. Only authenticated requests carrying your token can read or write data attributed to you.
Your choices and rights
Export. Download a copy of your profile, application history, and any answers you have given from the dashboard at any time.
Delete. Delete individual records or your entire account. Account deletion removes all rows associated with your user id within 30 days. Some encrypted backups may retain copies for up to 90 days before being expired.
Pause or stop. Stop the Service from acting on your behalf at any time using the Cancel button in the dashboard, the Stop button in the extension, or by quitting the desktop helper.
EU/UK and California residents. Standard GDPR / CCPA / CPRA rights apply: access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, and portability. Send requests to admin@jobapplier.app. The Service targets US-based users.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
Security incidents
If we discover unauthorized access to your data, we will notify affected users by email within 72 hours of confirming the incident.
Changes to this policy
When we make material changes we will update this page and bump the version shown at the top. If you are an active user we will also email you and re-prompt for acceptance the next time you sign in.
